Position Overview:
We are seeking a motivated individual to join our team as an Environmental Risk Consultant. This role is ideal for those looking to begin their career in environmental consulting, focusing on risk assessment and management strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Engage in projects that support decision-making for contaminated sites under various cleanup programs.
- Assist in site characterization and remedial action projects aimed at identifying and mitigating human and ecological exposure to hazardous substances.
- Conduct fate and transport modeling, including groundwater flow and air dispersion analysis.
- Perform statistical and spatial data evaluations to inform risk assessments.
- Develop remediation and risk management plans while providing technical support for regulatory negotiations.
Qualifications:
- A Master’s degree in Environmental Science, Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Public Health, Toxicology, or a related field is required. Candidates with a Bachelor’s degree and relevant experience may also be considered.
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills are essential.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities are necessary.
- Familiarity with GIS applications, database management, and statistical analysis is advantageous.
