Job OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Overnight Direct Support Professional to join our team. As an Overnight DSP, you will play a crucial role in providing overnight care and support to adults with IDD in our group home setting.
Key Responsibilities- Provide overnight supervision, assistance, and support to residents with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, grooming, and medication administration.
- Monitor and respond to any medical or behavioral needs that may arise during the night, following established protocols and procedures.
- Promote a positive and empowering atmosphere within the group home, encouraging social interaction, participation in recreational activities, and skill-building opportunities.
- Document observations, incidents, and interventions accurately and promptly in resident records.
- Collaborate with team members, including case managers, healthcare professionals, and family members, to ensure coordinated and comprehensive care for residents.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable living environment, including performing light housekeeping duties and conducting regular safety checks.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Prior experience working with individuals with IDD or in a similar caregiving role preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with individuals of diverse backgrounds and abilities.
- Ability to remain calm, patient, and composed in challenging situations, with a compassionate and empathetic demeanor.
- Basic understanding of medical terminology and procedures, with the willingness to learn and follow healthcare protocols.
- Must be reliable, responsible, and able to work independently during overnight shifts.
- $600-$2,000 Hiring Bonus
