Job Overview

Position Title: Material Specialist

Reports To: Site General or Facility Manager

Department: 810

FLSA Status: Exempt

Key Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate materials in accordance with ISRI and WSR Standards.
  • Verify packing lists and shipping documents against actual items received.
  • Document materials received on WSR unloading records.
  • Notify discrepancies through established reporting procedures.
  • Input data into ROM systems, generate ROM tickets, and ensure each package is accompanied by a ROM ticket.
  • Adhere to all safety regulations and procedures during work.
  • Execute job responsibilities in compliance with WSR policies and protocols.
Required Skills:
  • Valid forklift operator's license and proficiency in forklift operation.
  • Proficient with computers, tablets, and printers.
  • Familiarity with Non-Ferrous Materials is advantageous.
  • Comprehensive understanding of warehouse operations.
Physical Requirements:

Must be capable of walking, sitting, standing, bending, lifting, and moving continuously throughout the workday. The role may require lifting items over 40 pounds.

Work Schedule:
  • This is a full-time role, with an expected commitment of 40 hours per week, including potential overtime; Monday through Friday, with occasional weekend work as necessary.
  • Travel Requirements: No travel is anticipated for this position.
Education and Experience:
  • Required: High school diploma.
  • Preferred: Previous experience in warehousing or receiving operations.
