Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Tax Accountant to join our team at Express Employment Professionals. As a Tax Accountant, you will be responsible for preparing individual, corporate, fiduciary, and partnership tax returns, as well as conducting tax research and planning for clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Preparation of individual, corporate, fiduciary, and partnership tax returns
  • Perform review of tax returns prepared by interns
  • Conduct basic to complex tax research
  • Conduct tax planning for individual, corporate, partnership, estate, gift, and trust tax clients
  • Review federal, state, and local tax notices and draft responses
  • Perform bookkeeping related services for business clients, including compilation of financial statements and assistance with QuickBooks accounting software
  • Function as key client contact and relationship management for certain engagements
  • Develop a network of industry peers and business contacts, meet with prospective clients, and cultivate referral business
Requirements
  • 5+ years' experience
  • CPA license or Enrolled Agent (EA) Certification
  • Bachelors degree, preferred
  • Experience working with Lacerte and QuickBooks
  • Ability to work both independently as well as in a team setting
  • Willingness to work 50-60 hour weeks during Tax season
