Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Project Accountant to join our team at Triplepoint Environmental. As a key member of our finance team, you will be responsible for managing and tracking financial transactions on a project basis, ensuring the accuracy and completeness of financial data.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Tracking and Reporting: Monitor and record project-related financial transactions, maintain accurate and up-to-date project cost records, and prepare and analyze financial reports related to project performance.
  • Month-End Close Activities: Prepare month-end close workpapers for all projects, manage fixed assets, including additions, dispositions, and depreciation, and perform monthly account reconciliations.
  • Inventory Accounting: Maintain and oversee accurate inventory records and proper valuation, track and record inventory transactions, including purchases, sales, and adjustments, and reconcile general ledger to inventory sub-ledgers.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in preparing and reviewing project budgets and forecasts on a quarterly and annual basis, track budget variances, and provide detailed explanations on a weekly and monthly basis.
  • Compliance and Controls: Ensure compliance with internal policies, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements, implement and maintain internal controls, and assist in internal and external audits related to project finances.
Requirements
  • Associates or Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field with 4-6 years accounting experience, including minimum 2 years in project accounting role.
  • AIPB Certified Bookkeeper with 4-6 years' experience in full charge bookkeeping role, including minimum 2 years in project accounting role.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices, including percentage of completion revenue recognition concepts, full accrual bookkeeping, purchase orders, sales orders/estimates, progress invoicing.
  • Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills. Teams experience preferred, not required.
  • Experience with QuickBooks Online project accounting preferred.
  • Experience with ERP systems a plus.

Triplepoint offers a competitive compensation package, with a salary of $70,000 USD - $95,000 USD (depending on experience), full benefits including 401k, outstanding profit-sharing potential, and a generous vacation and holiday package.
