We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Public Health Educator to join our team at Community of Hope. As a Public Health Educator, you will play a critical role in promoting health education workshops, socialization/wellness groups, and other group education offerings for our patients.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in public health education, experience working with refugee populations, and excellent communication skills. You will be responsible for providing education on health and wellbeing to patients in both group and individualized educational settings, conducting needs assessments, and implementing workshops using health literacy best practices and cultural relevance.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Designing and facilitating specialized ad hoc groups and/or individualized education interventions to reduce gaps in education for high-risk or priority patient populations
  • Revising existing and developing new education materials in collaboration with Refugee Health Care Coordinators, Population Health leadership, and clinical leadership to support educational interventions
  • Collaborating with clinical, Quality Improvement (QI), and Population Health leadership to plan, implement, and evaluate innovative approaches to group educational support for patients
  • Ensuring completion of pre and post evaluations by workshop participants to evaluate participant knowledge retention and satisfaction
  • Ensuring offerings are in alignment with grant workplans and staffing capacities/availability

We offer a competitive salary of $96 per hour, as well as a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision plans, life insurance, short-term disability, and long-term disability insurance, 403(b) Retirement Plan, and Flexible Spending Accounts for medical and dependent care reimbursable expenses.
