Candidates should be exceptionally detail-oriented, organized, and self-driven, with the capability to devise innovative solutions for both routine and intricate construction challenges while ensuring project momentum.

Experience in heavy civil undertakings, including work related to dams, hydroelectric facilities, water and wastewater treatment plants, and fish hatcheries, is preferred. Essential skills include a solid understanding of dewatering, excavation, large diameter pipe installation, and complex concrete structures, whether for new construction or the restoration of existing ones. This role necessitates 100% travel.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement safety and quality control measures among team members and subcontractors to guarantee smooth project execution and adherence to timelines.
  • Guide workflow in alignment with the project schedule and relay project priorities to office personnel and subcontractors.
  • Keep a daily log of all activities and site conditions, managing the punch list and job closeout process effectively.
  • Foster positive working relationships with all subcontractors and clients.
  • Ensure precise daily documentation of work orders and comprehend subcontractor scopes to minimize unnecessary change orders.

Required Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience as a construction field manager in the heavy civil sector.
  • Possess a positive attitude and the ability to inspire team members on-site.
  • Strong background in scheduling.
  • Experience in change management.
  • Proficient in computer skills, with experience in Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Familiarity with scheduling software like MS Projects, Primavera, or similar tools.
  • Willingness to travel 100% (company provides per diem for travel exceeding 70 miles from home).
