OPEN POSITION:

Nutrition Services Assistant

Part-Time Role Available

Substitute Opportunities Available (As Needed & Potential Long-Term Assignments)


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist in the preparation, packaging, and distribution of nutritious meals for students.
  • Handle cash transactions for meal services as assigned.
  • Maintain accurate records of funds collected for meals.
  • Ensure food preparation and dining areas exceed health and safety standards.
  • Keep food service areas, equipment, and furnishings in pristine condition.
  • Achieve high levels of satisfaction through student engagement and feedback.
  • Report necessary repairs to the Nutrition Services Director promptly.
  • Document any damage to school property immediately.
  • Maintain an inventory of food, supplies, and equipment, ensuring timely requisitions.
  • Understand and implement health regulations and nutrition policies relevant to the role.
  • Take on additional responsibilities as assigned by the Nutrition Services Director or Principal.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience in food service within an educational environment.
  • Ability to read, follow instructions, and maintain accurate records.
  • Effective communication skills with diverse school personnel and students.
  • Strong record of punctuality.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Valid ServSafe Certification.
  • Experience working with at-risk student populations.
