About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Advanced Quality Assurance Engineer to join our team at Los Alamos National Laboratory. This role will involve working on cutting-edge engineering R&D activities and operations to uphold quality engineering standards.

Responsibilities
  • Contribute to the development, monitoring, and maintenance of inspection and test processes, procedures, and equipment used in regular production.
  • Spearhead the establishment and upkeep of capabilities, including developing and conducting initial testing of measurement tools to ensure their effectiveness and efficiency in supporting process development and production.
  • Define, standardize, set up, and maintain measurement system analysis capability and measurement assurance efforts.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering from an ABET accredited institution or equivalent combination of education and experience directly related to the occupation.
  • 4 years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Manufacturing expertise with extensive experience in designing, planning, and executing manufacturing projects.
  • Quality standards proficiency with familiarity with ASME quality assurance standards such as Y14.5 and NQA-1.
  • Software proficiency with proficiency in using software packages such as Quindos, Calypso, or PC-DMIS; PTC CREO; or SolidWorks.
  • Equipment proficiency with demonstrated proficiency in using and programming Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMMs).
  • Calibration expertise with hands-on experience in calibrating measurement equipment - Measurement Assurance Program (MAP) Experience.
