Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Analog Mixed-Signal IC Designer to join our dynamic team at Apple. As a key member of our engineering group, you will have the opportunity to design and develop cutting-edge analog and mixed-signal circuits for our world-leading systems-on-chip (SOCs).

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop analog and mixed-signal circuits for Apple's SOCs, including high-speed circuits, low power and low noise design techniques, and high precision techniques in presence of device mismatch.
  • Perform transistor-level feasibility studies and modeling for various analog/mixed-signal circuit blocks.
  • Design and document design simulation and verification towards formal design reviews.
  • Drive mask design to implement layout views of designs and drive layout reviews.
  • Run design verification flows to verify design is ready for tape-out.
  • Participate in production and bench-level test plans, taking lab measurements to validate performance compliance with the spec.
  • Participate in reviewing yield/lab test results to drive bug fixes.
Requirements
  • BSEE with a minimum of 3 years of industry experience.
  • Strong knowledge of mixed-signal design techniques, transistor operation, and device physics as applied to analog and digital IC design.
  • Proficiency in Cadence schematic and layout entry tool (Virtuoso), Spice simulation tools (e.g., HSpice, Spectre), and scripting languages (e.g., Perl, Python).
  • Knowledge of C/Matlab/VerilogA modeling of AMS blocks and static timing analysis.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in designing blocks and documenting design simulation and verification towards formal design reviews.
  • Ability to drive mask design to implement layout views of designs and drive layout reviews.
  • Experience in running design verification flows to verify design is ready for tape-out.
  • Ability to participate in production and bench-level test plans, taking lab measurements to validate performance compliance with the spec.
  • Experience in reviewing yield/lab test results to drive bug fixes.
