Position Summary

The Facilities Maintenance Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of building and equipment upkeep, ensuring operational efficiency through effective management of maintenance activities. This role requires a hands-on approach and prior experience in a manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintenance Oversight: Direct and manage the maintenance of equipment and facilities.
  • Electrical and Plant Layout: Ensure optimal electrical systems and plant configurations.
  • Equipment Procurement: Play a key role in the acquisition of new machinery.
  • Work Prioritization: Assess job orders to establish maintenance priorities.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain an up-to-date inventory of spare parts and tools.
  • Supervision of Repairs: Schedule and oversee the repair and maintenance of machinery to support uninterrupted production.
  • Utility Management: Supervise the installation and maintenance of essential utility systems.
  • Preventive Maintenance: Develop and implement a comprehensive Total Preventive Maintenance program.
  • Production Support: Collaborate with production teams to troubleshoot and resolve operational issues.
  • Safety Compliance: Lead initiatives to enhance safety standards and ensure compliance with regulations.
  • Regulatory Adherence: Maintain compliance with all relevant safety and environmental regulations.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree preferred, along with a minimum of five years of experience in maintenance management.
  • Knowledge of Lean principles, Six Sigma, and other continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Familiarity with extrusion processes and plastic manufacturing is advantageous.
