Body Shop Technician

Mullinax Automotive is seeking a skilled Body Shop Technician to join our team.
As a Body Shop Technician, you will be responsible for restoring damaged vehicles to their original structural integrity, function, and appearance. You will use hand tools and power tools to remove or repair damaged parts, weld as needed, and properly install new parts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform work outlined on repair orders with efficiency, accuracy, and in accordance with dealership and insurance company policies.
- Assess vehicle condition to determine if additional safety or repair work is needed.
- Communicate with estimators and parts to obtain necessary parts.
- Document all work performed on the repair order, with proper flag sheets, technician notes, etc.
- Provide superior customer satisfaction.
- Maintain dealership-owned tools and manuals in good working order and assume accountability for those tools.
- Operate all equipment in a safe and productive manner following safety standards and using personal protective equipment while working.
- Clean and maintain work environment to ensure equipment longevity and workplace safety.
- Computerized transactions/record keeping.
- Follow all Company procedures and standards.
Requirements:
- ICAR certification (preferred), we will provide training if not already certified.
- Aluminum Repair Certification (preferred), we will provide training if not already certified.
Qualifications:
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Must provide own tool set.
- Basic computer, email, and internet proficiency.
- Strong time management skills.
- Able to bend, kneel, squat, stand, and lift heavy objects as needed.
- Lifting of heavy items of up to 75 pounds.
- Able to withstand exposure to adverse weather conditions, chemicals, odors, dirt, and dust.
- Valid Driver's license with an acceptable motor vehicle driving record according to dealership guidelines.
- Must be able to pass background screening and drug test.
