Diagnostic Imaging Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our team at Wellstar Health System, Inc.

The successful candidate will assist with performing nuclear medicine exams, ensuring accurate diagnoses, and maintaining equipment in good working condition.

Responsibilities
  • Perform nuclear medicine exams, including preparing patients, operating imaging equipment, and obtaining diagnostic images.
  • Verify proper clinician orders for procedures, obtain complete clinical history, and assess for contraindicating conditions.
  • Follow established procedures for administering radiopharmaceuticals, ensuring patient safety and comfort.
  • Review images for clinically acceptable results, release patients, and respond to emergency situations.
  • Maintain accurate records, prepare reports, and participate in quality control activities.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an approved AMA Nuclear Medicine Program required.
  • ARRT Nuclear Technology or Cert Nuclear Med Tech certification required upon hire.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) through American Heart Association (AHA) required.
  • Minimum 1 year experience in a clinical setting caring for patients or minimum 1 year NM experience preferred.

The estimated salary for this role is $65,000 - $85,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience. This amount includes base pay, benefits, and other compensation packages.
