Job Summary:

The Senior Recreation Therapist will be responsible for developing, implementing, and delivering recreation therapy services, including modifying activities based on individuals' physical activity and/or rehabilitative needs, observing and recording individuals' progress, responses, and behaviors, and maintaining records and documentation in accordance with program standards and requirements.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement individualized recreation therapy plans to meet the unique needs of each client
  • Provide therapeutic recreation services, including group and individual activities, to promote physical and emotional well-being
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care and support
  • Conduct assessments and evaluations to identify client needs and develop effective treatment plans
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of client progress and treatment plans
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Therapeutic Recreation, Creative Arts Therapy, or related field
  • 2-5 years of experience in recreation therapy or a related field
  • Strong knowledge of therapeutic recreation principles and practices
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
