Recreation Therapist

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Recreation Therapist to join our team at Child and Family Services. The successful candidate will have a Master's degree in Therapeutic Recreation and at least one year of experience providing treatment to emotionally disturbed children and their parents.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess individual residents' skills and deficiencies, and implement plans to meet their needs.
- Develop and implement therapeutic recreation programs in conjunction with group staff.
- Participate in treatment team meetings and ensure assigned treatment recommendations are carried out.
- Monitor recreational services provided to residents and ensure compliance with agency and department policies.
Requirements:
- Master's degree in Therapeutic Recreation or a related field.
- At least one year of experience providing treatment to emotionally disturbed children and their parents.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to deescalate and manage difficult behaviors.
