Electrical Systems Specialist

As a key member of the Legends Casino Hotel team, the Electrical Systems Specialist will be responsible for performing journey-level work on the casino's electrical systems. This includes repairing and installing various types of electrical equipment, maintaining accurate drawings of electrical wiring runs and panels, and setting up temporary power services for special events.
Key Responsibilities:- Interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals to ensure accurate installation and maintenance of electrical systems.
- Diagnose and resolve electrical problems independently, ensuring the safety of team members and guests.
- Test electrical circuits to ensure integrity and safety, and splice, join, and connect wires to form circuits.
- Position, install, and maintain distribution and control equipment, including circuit breaker panel boards, light zone boards, and fuse enclosures.
- Assemble, install, repair, maintain, and test electrical fixtures, control equipment, and wiring for fire alarms, communications, light, heat, and power systems.
- Pull wire through conduits and openings in walls, floors, and ceilings, and cut, thread, bend, assemble, and install conduits and other types of electrical conductor enclosures and fittings.
- Maintain an inventory of equipment and materials necessary to ensure a timely response to most routine work requests.
- Make judgment calls based on an understanding of Legends Casino Hotel's purpose, values, and objectives, utilizing research, knowledge, and experience.
- Execute policies, procedures, protocols, and controls that govern the Facilities Department, and build relationships inside and outside the department/team to improve ways of working and providing a great guest experience.
- Act as a mentor to peers and consider the success of fellow team members as their own success, taking personal responsibility for performance and constantly striving to improve.
- Continuously develop skills to contribute at a higher level, modeling a strong work ethic and being visible, available, and present for guests and the team.
- Identify ways to improve workflows and processes to work smarter and increase efficiency, seeking to share and improve processes and workflows based on guest feedback.
- Finding ways to make good use of strengths and talents.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Journeyman level electrician status or seven (7) years of electrical experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience required.
- High voltage certification and experience a plus.
- Must be experienced in the installation, operation, repair, and maintenance of industrial electrical systems and equipment and the application of common electrical safety procedures.
- Candidate must have the ability to lift and carry 50 lbs., work above ceilings from a ladder, safely operate power and hand tools and equipment common to the electrical trade, recognize and correctly interpret common safety warning signs, and communicate effectively in the English language.
- Must be physically capable of pulling wires and cables through conduits.
- Candidate may be called upon to work for long periods of time in uncomfortable environments, including wet, hot, cold, or windy conditions.
- Candidate must be able to tolerate working in a smoking environment.
