Job Title: Music Therapist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Music Therapist to join our team at the Comer Children's Hospital, part of the world-class academic healthcare system, UChicago Medicine. As a Music Therapist, you will play a vital role in providing psychosocial support to children and families during hospitalization, surgeries, and out-patient visits.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate services of psychosocial support to children and families
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive therapeutic music program for individuals and groups
  • Use music to formulate treatment goals and facilitate interventions
  • Promote family-centered care through involvement of parents/caregivers, siblings, and other family members
  • Develop relationships with families that are caring, trusting, beneficial, and professional

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in Music Therapy or related field
  • Experience working with children and families in a healthcare setting
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
