About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Value Stream Manager to join our Operations leadership team at Generac's Oshkosh facility. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading the overall operation of a value stream, implementing the Generac Manufacturing System (GMS) to ensure a safe work environment, drive quality improvements, and provide an excellent customer experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead Daily Operations: Oversee the day-to-day activities of the value stream, ensuring the creation of continuous product flow, utilization of pull systems, and workload leveling.
  • Implement Continuous Improvement: Design and direct processes to deliver metric results in people, safety, quality, delivery, and cost. Develop a visual value stream to ensure problems are addressed promptly.
  • Develop and Execute Improvement Plans: Create and implement short- and long-range continuous improvement plans to deliver improvements in people, safety, quality, delivery, and cost metrics.
  • Lead and Coordinate NPIs: Responsible for leading and coordinating the successful launch of New Product Introductions (NPIs) within Operations.
  • Facilitate Information Sharing: Facilitate the flow of information sharing of best practices and external benchmarks.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree: In Engineering, Business, Supply Chain, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ Years of Experience: In progressive operations or lean management experience.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Lean Certifications: Lean, Operations, or Supply Chain certifications.
  • ERP Experience: Experience with SAP or equivalent ERP system.
  • Flow Principles: Demonstrated experience in flow principles, Kanban, and plan for every part (PFEP).
  • Leadership Experience: Demonstrated experience in leadership with a diversity of team skills.
