Key Responsibilities- Plant Operations: Direct the day-to-day operations of the water and wastewater treatment plants, ensuring that all processes are running efficiently and effectively.
- Staff Supervision: Supervise and train a team of operators and maintenance personnel, providing guidance and support to ensure that they have the skills and knowledge needed to perform their jobs.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that all operations are in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, including those related to water and wastewater treatment, safety, and environmental protection.
- Capital Projects: Oversee the planning, design, and implementation of capital projects related to water and wastewater treatment, including upgrades and expansions.
- Budgeting and Financial Management: Develop and manage budgets for plant operations and capital projects, ensuring that resources are allocated effectively and efficiently.
- Community Engagement: Serve as a liaison between the City and the community, providing information and education on water and wastewater treatment processes and services.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as environmental engineering, chemistry, or biology.
