Job Description

As a key member of the Center for Employment Training team, the Senior Education Analyst plays a vital role in promoting the organization's mission and initiatives. This position is responsible for assisting the Director of Education in the general operation of the Department, responding to inquiries from Center staff regarding programmatic and student issues, and developing curriculum and corresponding materials and tools.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Assist the Director of Education in the general operation of the Department
  • Respond to inquiries from Center staff regarding programmatic and student issues
  • Develop curriculum and corresponding materials and tools
  • Carry out projects in support of educational programs and special projects
  • Analyze and interpret applications for approvals by state and federal government
  • Complete applications and reports
  • Write and edit program policies and procedures
  • Prepare reports and data for submittal to government entities
  • Conduct research on the Internet for resources and new techniques and technology
  • Assist in or lead the accreditation process for Council on Occupational Education
  • Respond to requests from the CA Bureau of Private Postsecondary Education and U.S. Department of Education
  • Respond to inquiries from Center Directors and staff and guide them through resolution and understanding, monitors compliance, and reports findings and corrective action required to the Chief Executive Officer and respective Regional Director.
  • Ensure Center compliance with federal and state regulations for private vocational post-secondary schools
  • Guide and assist Center Directors in responding to regulation compliance requests from state board/departments of education
  • Participate in decision-making, Corporate meetings
  • Participate in local, state and national workshops and meetings related to the above-mentioned responsibilities
  • Carry out other duties as required

Required Knowledge and Abilities:

  • Previous experience in teaching in the classroom; curriculum development, project development and implementation; administration and management preferred.
  • Self-motivated, self-directed; excellent analytical and writing skills, computer technology, including virtual communication tools.
  • Ability to manage situations for which there are not established procedures

Education and/or Experience:

  • Master's Degree in Education preferred, but
  • Will consider a Bachelor's Degree in combination with relevant experience.
