Wireless System Automation Development Engineer

Our collective aim is to ensure seamless connections between our customers and their devices.

Role Overview

In this specialized position, you will focus on the automation development and evaluation of advanced wireless SoC products. Your responsibilities will include establishing the infrastructure for product initiation within a silicon design team, as well as developing the characterization, regression, and reporting systems.

  1. Design and implement a Python-based environment for product initiation, integration, and debugging.
  2. Create a Python-based framework for characterization, regression, and reporting.
  3. Develop calibration algorithms for wireless transceivers within the automation framework.
  4. Validate algorithms on actual silicon in collaboration with PHY, MAC, RFIC, and digital circuit engineers.
  5. Formulate and execute test plans; gather and interpret test data; diagnose and resolve issues.

Essential Qualifications

  • This role requires an individual technical contributor with industry experience in the integration, initiation, and commercialization of wireless communication systems.
  • Comprehension of communication theory and radio calibration algorithms (including power control and RF impairment mitigation).
  • Familiarity with laboratory equipment operation (spectrum analyzers, signal generators, network analyzers, power meters).
  • Experience in developing test automation, including equipment drivers, debugging tools, automation scripts, database interfaces, and reporting tools.
  • Knowledge of existing wireless communication standards: LTE/WCDMA/GSM, 802.11a/b/g/n/ac/ax/be, 802.11ad/ay, or Bluetooth/BLE.
  • Proficient in Python, Matlab, Shell scripting, and/or C/C++.
  • Experience in developing automation infrastructure (traceability, repeatability) and related tools (GIT, CI, databases, reporting tools).

Education & Experience

A minimum of a Bachelor's degree with 3 years of relevant experience is required.
