Position Overview

About the Role

This role focuses on delivering specialized technical guidance and support for CNC machining operations within Lincotek Medical. You will engage with diverse teams and stakeholders to enhance machining workflows, resolve challenges, and innovate new applications. A commitment to fostering continuous improvement while achieving safety, quality, delivery, and productivity objectives will be essential in this position.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee CAD/CAM and CNC programming management, including the formulation of standard operating procedures.
  • Offer expert troubleshooting and assistance for CNC machining processes.
  • Evaluate machine performance metrics to pinpoint improvement opportunities.
  • Refine toolpaths and cutting parameters to maximize machining efficiency.
  • Facilitate the setup and optimization of new CNC programs.
  • Support process routings in ERP systems and manage new part setups.
  • Innovate new CAD/CAM and Multi-Axis CNC machining applications.
  • Collaborate with customer teams on the introduction of new parts.
  • Investigate and adopt new technologies in CNC machining.
  • Provide training and mentorship to junior engineers on various projects.
  • Assist in the deployment of capital equipment and analyze production data.
  • Implement lean manufacturing methodologies and guide the design of fixtures and tooling.
  • Educate personnel on CNC machining best practices and identify automation opportunities.
  • Stay informed about advancements in CNC technology and automation.
  • Capability to support multiple locations as necessary.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Associate degree in an engineering discipline.
  • A minimum of 7 years of experience in CNC machining operations.
  • Proficient in CAD/CAM software and CNC simulation tools.
  • Experience with automation and robotics is advantageous.
  • Strong grasp of CNC programming, blueprint interpretation, and GD&T.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities.
