Job Title: Physical Therapist Float

Job Summary:

Concentra is seeking a skilled Physical Therapist Float to provide high-quality rehabilitative services to patients in various locations throughout California. As a key member of our patient care team, you will work closely with Concentra Medical Centers' Injury Process Management team to deliver exceptional care and support patients in achieving their rehabilitation goals.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality patient care services, including evaluation and treatment of muscle, skeletal, neurological, and other physical problems.
  • Support and encourage multidisciplinary coordination of treatment to ensure comprehensive patient care.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care, adhering to quality assurance policies and procedures.
  • Implement effective communication with colleagues, medical staff, and patients to ensure coordinated efforts and optimal patient care.
  • Plan, design, implement, and interpret specific physical therapy treatment programs to facilitate patient recovery and attainment of maximum physical potential.
  • Educate patients on proper care and use of supports and performance of exercise programs.
  • Perform or delegate patient treatment, including modalities, therapeutic exercises, gait training, and hydrotherapy.
  • Follow proper documentation and reporting procedures, securing prescriptions for each patient treated.
  • Collaborate with physicians to ensure comprehensive delivery of services and quality patient care.
  • Participate in professional development through center meetings and outside educational seminars.
  • Communicate with Outcome Assurance Injury Coordinator or Case Manager regarding patient progress, compliance, and estimated time frame for discharge.
  • Participate in clinical instruction of university occupational therapy and/or occupational therapist assistant students.
  • Contribute to the evaluation of the effectiveness of the rehabilitation quality management process and assist in new and improved processes.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited Physical Therapy program.
  • Masters' Degree from an accredited Physical Therapy program, preferred.

Job-Related Experience:

  • Customarily a new graduate to at least five years of demonstrated experience in an orthopedic setting with use of modalities, therapeutic exercises, and isokinetic equipment.
  • Ortho-outpatient experience, preferred.
