Responsibilities:

  • Support the organization's philosophy of care by delivering high-quality, patient-centered care
  • Coordinate and deliver general and psychiatric nursing care to patients, ensuring medical orders are followed and treatment plans are initiated and implemented
  • Act as a patient advocate at all times, promoting dignity and respect for all individuals
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized treatment plans
  • Provide education and support to patients and their families, promoting healthy coping mechanisms and recovery strategies

Requirements:

  • Graduate from an accredited program of professional nursing training
  • Current unencumbered license to practice by the State Board of Nursing
  • CPR Certification and Crisis Prevention Training (CPI) within 30 days of employment and prior to any patient contact
  • Previous experience in a psychiatric healthcare facility, with direct experience working with chemical dependency, dual diagnosis, psychiatric, and geriatric patients preferred

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in patient assessments, family motivations, treatment planning, and communication with external review organizations or comparable entities
