Job Title: Medical Assistant

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our team at Southeast Medical Group. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our healthcare professionals in delivering top-notch medical services.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist physicians and nursing personnel with patient care activities, including taking vital signs, preparing patients for exams, and performing routine specimen collection and tests.
  • Provide administrative support, including scheduling appointments, managing patient records, and handling phone calls and messages.
  • Contribute to a positive and team-oriented work environment by maintaining a clean and organized workspace, and assisting with inventory management and supply ordering.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with patients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure seamless communication and care coordination.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures to enhance patient care and safety.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program preferred.
  • Current Medical Assistant certification (AAMA, AMT, NHA, or NCCT) or willingness to obtain certification within 6 months of hire.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for healthcare providers.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive patient information with discretion.
  • Flexibility to work varying shifts, including evenings and weekends, as needed.
