Training and Development Manager

Beacon Hill Associates is seeking a highly qualified Training and Development Manager for a four-month contract role. This role will be responsible for creating a comprehensive training playbook, onboarding materials, and learning paths to support a newly revamped commercial team. The position requires expertise in sales strategies, logistics services, and industry regulations. Additionally, the candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams, including sales, operations, and leadership, to ensure adequate training that aligns with the company's objectives.
Daily Duties:
- Develop training programs and learning paths for the commercial team, focusing on sales strategies, customer engagement, and regulatory compliance.
- Create a repeatable training playbook in collaboration with leadership, incorporating company-specific processes and industry trends.
- Conduct training needs assessments to identify gaps in performance and skillsets.
- Customize content and onboarding materials, including presentations and guides tailored to the logistics and trucking industry.
- Provide continuous support through coaching, mentoring, and onboarding sessions for the commercial team.
- Stay updated on industry regulations, including DOT and FMCSA, and ensure compliance through relevant training modules.
- Collaborate with leadership and cross-functional teams to align training with business goals.
Ideal Candidate:
- Strong attention to detail and ability to create structured, repeatable training content.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally.
- Knowledge of trucking, logistics services, and compliance with DOT and FMCSA regulations.
- Proficient in PowerPoint and training development tools.
- Ability to manage and deliver comprehensive training programs under tight deadlines.
