Job Summary:

Christus Health is seeking a highly skilled Mammography Technologist to join our team. As a key member of our radiology department, you will be responsible for performing a wide range of mammographic procedures while providing exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform mammographic procedures with independent judgment to provide quality patient care.
  • Operate various radiographic and support equipment, including mammographic, ultrasound, and stereotactic breast biopsy machines.
  • Protect patients from radiation exposure by using lead shields and safety factors.
  • Assist radiologists in performing fluoroscopic procedures by setting radiographic technique factors and preparing opaque media.
  • Maintain mammography equipment and components, and ensure supplies are always on hand.
  • Identify abnormal anatomy and pathologic processes in assessing patients for procedures.
  • Maintain Quality Control/Quality Assurance in accordance with MQSA programs and ACR, FDA, and TDH standards.

Requirements:

  • Graduate of an accredited school of Radiology Technology or equivalent.
  • 1-3 years of experience in Diagnostic Radiology, preferably in Mammography.
  • Registered by The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists in Radiography and Mammography.
  • Current state licensure and BLS certification.
