Role Overview:

As an Experienced Server, you will be responsible for setting up tables prior to service and acting as the primary point of contact for guests throughout their dining experience. Your main goal will be to ensure that every guest departs with a memorable and positive experience. This position is ideal for those seeking supplemental income alongside their primary job, with duties split between our elegantly lit indoor dining area and the grand lobby of the Morsani Theater.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide thoughtful recommendations from the menu.
  • Deliver food and beverages promptly from the kitchen and bar to guests.
  • Monitor the dining experience to ensure guest satisfaction.
  • Respond to guest requests in a timely and courteous manner.
  • Maintain cleanliness in service areas.
  • Prepare final bills and process payments efficiently.
  • Assist in clearing and resetting tables.
  • Uphold high standards of personal appearance and grooming, including wearing the designated uniform and nametag.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Must be fully vaccinated by the date of hire, with the possibility of booster shots as required, unless an exemption has been approved.
  • Availability to work on-site is essential.
  • Ability to work evenings, weekends, and some holidays.
  • Strong customer service skills are required.
  • Basic understanding of dining room procedures and service functions.
  • Ability to handle cash and operate a point of sale system.
  • Must be able to stand for extended periods (minimum of 5 hours).
  • Capable of lifting and maneuvering trays of food weighing up to 40 pounds.
  • Previous experience in a similar role is preferred.

Education and Experience:

  • High School diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Prior experience as a server or in a comparable restaurant role is preferred.

Physical Requirements:

The physical demands outlined here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this position. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform these functions.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to lift a minimum of 40 lbs, stand for long periods (minimum of five hours), reach with hands and arms, and communicate effectively. Occasional use of hands for handling or feeling is also required.
