Enrichment Instructor

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Enrichment Instructor to join our team at Highlands Ranch Metro District. As an Enrichment Instructor, you will be responsible for providing skilled instruction and supervision for older adult expressive and performing arts and crafts classes.

The Enrichment Instructor will develop and plan art curriculum suitable for senior learners, with careful consideration of their varying skill levels and interests. You will provide hands-on instruction, teaching a variety of expressive and performing art techniques depending on your qualifications. You will also tailor instruction to accommodate the physical and cognitive abilities of senior learners, ensuring an inclusive and accessible learning environment.

• Develop and plan art curriculum suitable for senior learners
• Provide hands-on instruction, teaching a variety of expressive and performing art techniques
• Tailor instruction to accommodate the physical and cognitive abilities of senior learners
• Manage and organize supplies, ensuring they are readily available for class use
• Follow class format and fidelity as set by the Fitness and Enrichment Coordinator
• Welcome and encourage all participants to follow at their own pace
• Assist in marketing and promoting the classes to attract new participants
• Maintain accurate records of attendance and class progress
• Be familiar with safety protocols and emergency procedures within the senior center and classroom
• Report all concerns to the Fitness and Enrichment Coordinator

• At least one year of experience teaching expressive or performing arts and crafts classes to older adults
• Proficiency in various art mediums, such as painting, drawing, or crafts
• Innovative thinking to develop engaging activities
