  • Collaborative Engagement: Partner with other executive team members, including the CEO, COO, and CFO, to ensure nursing operations are in sync with organizational goals.
  • Resident-Centric Care: Advocate for a resident-centered approach that honors the dignity and preferences of each individual. Ensure personalized care plans are developed to meet the unique needs of residents.
  • Crisis Leadership: Direct nursing teams during emergencies, ensuring continuous care for residents and adherence to established protocols.
  • Stakeholder Relations: Establish and maintain connections with key stakeholders, including residents' families, healthcare professionals, and community organizations. Represent the organization at relevant industry events.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) is required; a minimum of 10 years of nursing experience with at least 5 years in a senior leadership capacity within long-term care or skilled nursing environments; equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered.
  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Oregon.
  • In-depth knowledge of long-term care regulations, quality improvement methodologies, and nursing care standards.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal abilities. Capable of managing complex scenarios, making critical decisions, and leading a substantial team of healthcare professionals.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's Degree in Nursing (MSN) or Healthcare Administration (MHA) is preferred.
  • Certification in Nursing Administration or a related field is preferred (e.g., CNML, NEA-BC).
