About the Role

We are seeking a skilled RN Telemetry professional to join our team at Amergis. As a key member of our healthcare staff, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care to telemetry patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Utilize the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care on the telemetry unit.
  • Perform focused interviews to identify specific patient needs and assess signs and symptoms indicating physiologic and psychosocial changes in the patient's condition.
  • Monitor EKG output and keep doctors informed of any changes, record vital signs, and monitor patient progress.
  • Respond to patients experiencing cardiac pain, perform various diagnostic tests, and manage and administer medication.
  • Monitor and use the electrocardiogram, EKG, or ECG, educate patients on cardiac health, and communicate with patient's family when applicable.
  • Administer tests, analyze lab results, and report them to the physician, document the patient's plan of care using identified nursing diagnoses, expected patient outcomes, and selected nursing interventions.
Requirements
  • Current Registered Nurse license for the state in which the nurse practices.
  • One year experience in Telemetry Preferred.
  • Complies with all relevant professional standards of practice.
  • Participation and completion of Amergis' Competency program when applicable.
  • Current CPR if applicable.
  • TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable.
  • Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation).
  • Must meet all federal, state and local requirements.
  • Successful completion of new hire training as applicable to job site.
  • Understand patient confidentiality and HIPAA requirements.
  • Ability to effectively elicit/provide information to and from appropriate individuals (including, but not limited to, supervisors, co-workers, clients) via strong communication skills; proficiency in the English language is required.
  • Computer proficiency required.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
