Industrial Automation Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Industrial Automation Specialist to join our team at Tamarack Foods in Americus, Georgia. This full-time position offers a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package.

The Industrial Automation Specialist will perform work related to the design, fabrication, installation, maintenance, operation, inspection, and testing of various control systems equipment. Responsibilities include:

• Planning and directing routine and emergency maintenance on analog electrical, electronic, pneumatic equipment, PLC's, VFD's, and networks used for data collection, processing, transmission, reception, and record-keeping, as well as regulating final control elements throughout the plant.
• Scheduling and overseeing periodic inspections, testing, adjustments, calibrations, and servicing activities necessary for ensuring proper operation of process instrumentation and control systems in plant operations and wastewater treatment processes.
• Communicating with various plant departments regarding operation and maintenance of electric, electronic, and pneumatic control systems and components.
• Ensuring all work is performed safely and professionally according to company policies and procedures.
• Collaborating with Project Managers to plan, prioritize, and implement controls systems efficiently and safely.
• Training and mentoring junior Controls Technicians.
• Ability to work overtime and weekend hours as required.
• Familiarity with Quality, Production, and Safety Policies.
• Able to stand on concrete for up to 12 hours, bend, stoop, and lift up to 75 pounds.

Key Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Detail-oriented and self-motivated individual able to work independently.
• Demonstrated mechanical and electrical skills, understanding of VFD's, ladder logic, PLC programming, HMI, 4-20ma, and 0-10v analog control loops.
