Position Overview

Salary: $16.00

Key Qualifications for Support Specialist:

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • A minimum of two years of experience in supporting individuals with disabilities or in a teaching/mentoring role
  • Knowledge of community resources and strategies for teaching independent living skills
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record and access to a reliable vehicle
  • Proficiency in using company email systems, including the installation of security applications on personal devices for authentication purposes.

Responsibilities of the Support Specialist:

  • Assist individuals in achieving independence within their community
  • Serve as a mentor, fostering relationships that help individuals engage with community resources
  • Support individuals with daily living activities, including but not limited to housekeeping, meal preparation, laundry, medication management, financial responsibilities, and personal care
  • Establish community connections that encourage participation in local organizations or activities
  • Demonstrate decision-making skills and the ability to work autonomously
