We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Security Assistant Shift Manager to join our team at Hollywood Casino at Kansas Speedway. As a key member of our security team, you will be responsible for supervising staff and managing the daily operations of a designated shift.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and manage a team of security personnel to ensure the safety and security of guests and employees.
  • Develop and implement operational goals and objectives to improve security performance and achieve business objectives.
  • Coordinate with management to ensure scheduling and staffing needs are met.
  • Assist in the budget process by providing recommendations and supporting compliance with departmental budget initiatives.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and ensure that all team members adhere to customer service standards.
  • Enforce internal control policies and procedures, including underage gambling and drinking laws.
  • Maintain safety and inspection reports, conduct regular security post inspections, and prepare security incident reports.
  • Respond to guest and employee concerns and complaints in a professional and compassionate manner.
  • Ensure security officers adhere to uniform dress and grooming standards.
  • Interact and cooperate with regulatory, fire/rescue, and law enforcement agencies.
  • Responsible for ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements within the area of responsibility.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; or three years of casino security, military, or police experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Proficient in Microsoft applications.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to write reports and business correspondence.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
  • Ability to interact with guests, staff, and colleagues and resolve problems and conflicts in a diplomatic and tactful manner.
  • Valid driver's license and acceptable driving history as determined by Penn National Gaming's auto insurance carrier.
