Position Overview: We are in search of a knowledgeable and customer-oriented Loan Officer to enhance our operations. This role is crucial in developing relationships with clients, evaluating creditworthiness, and designing loan solutions that align with both borrower requirements and bank goals. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong analytical capabilities, a thorough understanding of credit assessment, and a commitment to community involvement. Salary range of $50,000-$80,000, depending on experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive client interviews to understand business operations and tailor financial products to meet client needs.
  • Prepare, analyze, and present credit proposals utilizing Moodys Analytics software, ensuring precision and thoroughness.
  • Actively participate in the loan review committee, providing expertise to assess credit applications and customer projects.
  • Perform in-depth credit analysis on loan requests, reviewing financial statements, cash flow forecasts, and collateral.
  • Deliver detailed credit summaries and make well-supported recommendations to the Loan Committee.
  • Maintain ongoing communication with clients throughout the loan servicing process, offering exceptional service and support.
  • Conduct on-site evaluations to assess collateral positions, production cycles, and future credit requirements, ensuring effective risk management.
  • Build strong relationships with community organizations to promote small business lending through strategic collaborations.
  • Engage in community initiatives and partnerships to understand local needs and contribute to community development efforts.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Agriculture, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated experience in credit analysis within a banking or financial setting.
  • Strong proficiency in financial analysis tools and Moodys Analytics software preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to establish trust and rapport with clients and stakeholders.
  • Sound decision-making skills with a keen attention to detail and a commitment to regulatory compliance.
  • Able to thrive in a collaborative team environment and contribute to organizational objectives.
  • Knowledge of agricultural lending practices, familiarity with small business lending, and community banking principles is advantageous.
