Job Summary

This Clinical Staff Leader position is a night shift role that requires experience working on a Burn unit, although it is not a requirement. The successful candidate will lead a cohort of staff members and be responsible for the overall management of the unit, development of clinical practice, and provision of patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Interact with and contribute to the professional development of their cohort and other staff as needed.
  • Define standards for quality patient care.
  • Develop, manage, and evaluate the area based on work team performance.
  • Manage multiple projects and maintain alignment with the strategic plan and vision.
  • Act as a clinical leader and facilitate education for staff on clinical standards.
Technical Capabilities
  • Clinical Expertise: Demonstrates mastery of patient care, including patient assessment and treatment, care planning, patient education, and evidence-based practice.
  • Quality Management: Has provided continuous analysis and evaluation of assignment work processes and strives for improvement.
  • Business Results: Implements measures for attaining business results and tracks progress in meeting goals and objectives.
  • Operations Planning: Demonstrates ability to realistically anticipate resource needs and identify discrete tasks.
  • People Management: Conducts performance reviews, delegates tasks, and coaches subordinates on technical and interpersonal topics.
  • Leadership: Sets the example in challenging situations and demonstrates different leadership styles.
  • Compliance: Understands and applies basic statutory instructions and escalates problems in a timely manner.
