We are seeking a highly motivated and talented individual to join our team as a Jansky Fellow at the National Radio Astronomy Observatory (NRAO). As a Jansky Fellow, you will have the opportunity to conduct independent research that is broadly related to the NRAO's mission.

About the Position

The Jansky Fellowship Program supports outstanding early career scientists to conduct independent research that is broadly related to the NRAO's mission. The program provides a unique opportunity for fellows to develop their research skills, collaborate with NRAO scientists, and contribute to the Observatory's research environment.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct independent research that is broadly related to the NRAO's mission
  • Collaborate with NRAO scientists and researchers
  • Develop and implement research projects that align with the NRAO's strategic goals
  • Present research findings at conferences and workshops
  • Write and publish research papers in peer-reviewed journals
Requirements
  • PhD in astronomy, astrophysics, computer science, or a related field
  • Excellent research skills and experience
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
