Job Summary

Providence is seeking a skilled MRI Technologist to join our team at Providence Imaging Center in Anchorage, Alaska. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging team, you will be responsible for performing M.R.I. examinations under the supervision of a radiologist, utilizing a sophisticated magnetic imaging scanner to aid in the diagnosis of patient conditions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform M.R.I. examinations on patients, adhering to established protocols and guidelines.
  • Operate and maintain magnetic imaging scanners, ensuring optimal performance and safety.
  • Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate diagnoses and effective patient care.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with advances in magnetic resonance imaging technology.

Requirements:

  • Associate's Degree in Radiologic Technology or Allied Health, or equivalent training through an ARRT-recognized program or credentialing body.
  • Within 1 year of hire, obtain National Registered Technologist - Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRT) certification or equivalent.
  • Within 30 days of hire, obtain National Provider Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
