Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Low Voltage Security Systems Technician to support our clients in the installation and maintenance of security systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install and troubleshoot low voltage security systems including CCTV, access control, and alarm systems.
  • Run and manage cabling (CAT 5/6) for various security applications.
  • Ensure proper installation and functionality of all systems in large commercial environments.
Essential Qualifications

Must Have:
Proven experience in low voltage security work, particularly in large commercial settings.

Technical Skills Required
  • Minimum of 2 years of low voltage cabling experience.
  • Ability to splice cables and understand various splicing techniques.
  • Familiarity with punch down procedures and color codes.
  • Experience in Quality Assurance practices for cable installations.
Additional Information

Technicians are expected to have their own vehicle, basic hand tools, and personal protective equipment (PPE). This position may lead to a contract-to-hire opportunity, with company vehicles and equipment provided upon conversion.

Assessment Questions
  • Can you explain the splicing process and the types of cables you can splice?
  • What is your understanding of ribbonized/infused splicing?
  • Describe the punch down process and the time required for 24 or 48 patch panels.
  • What key factors do you consider during Quality Assurance checks?
