About the Role

NextWave Partners is seeking an Environmental Compliance Specialist to join a leading Offshore Wind developer in the US. This role will support environmental compliance planning and management throughout the project lifecycle, working closely with permitting and construction specialists.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure project adherence to federal, state, and local environmental regulations throughout all phases of offshore wind development
  • Coordinate with regulatory agencies and stakeholders to secure necessary environmental permits and approvals
  • Monitor environmental impact assessments, mitigation measures, and post-construction compliance
  • Conduct site audits, reporting, and corrective actions to address non-compliance or environmental concerns
  • Collaborate with internal teams to integrate environmental compliance strategies into project planning and execution
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Policy, or a related field
  • 2+ years of experience in environmental compliance, ideally within the renewable energy or offshore wind sector
  • Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local environmental regulations, including NEPA, BOEM, and marine wildlife protections
  • Proven experience with environmental permitting, assessments, and regulatory agency coordination
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
