As a Member Service Representative, you will play a crucial role in fostering relationships with our members, ensuring they receive tailored assistance to address their financial needs. Your responsibilities will include direct interactions with members, assisting them with various transactions such as account openings and loan applications.
Compensation and Benefits
Your hourly pay will range from $17.25 to $29.92, which includes a $1.25 per hour pay differential. Your starting pay will be determined by your relevant experience and qualifications. Additionally, you will have access to benefits equivalent to an extra $12.00 per hour, including a 401k employer match of up to 200%, an annual bonus of up to 4% of your salary, a generous employer contribution to your HSA, and paid time off for community service.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist members with opening new accounts, processing transactions, applying for loans, and providing accurate information on various financial products and services.
- Deliver warm, welcoming, and personalized service to every member who visits or contacts the credit union.
- Provide information regarding credit union products and services, referring members to the appropriate department when necessary.
- Assess members' financial needs to educate them on suitable products and services that align with their goals.
- Support members with the Interactive Teller Machines as needed.
- Collaborate with team members and departments to achieve organizational objectives and maintain a positive work environment.
- Engage in community events and outreach programs to promote financial literacy and strengthen ties with local residents and organizations.
- This position requires a commitment to a 32-hour work week, including multiple Saturdays each month.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- A minimum of 1 year of experience in a financial institution or a service/sales-related role, or an Associate's Degree.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with a diverse range of individuals.
- Exhibit above-average performance in accuracy, productivity, and member service.
- Punctuality and a neat, professional appearance are essential, along with proper business telephone etiquette.
- Familiarity with software programs such as Microsoft Office and Windows.
- Comprehensive knowledge of the credit union and its services.
- Bilingual fluency is preferred but not required.
