About the Role

GFF is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance department, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our manufacturing, facility, and support equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance, troubleshoot, and repair of all production equipment and supporting equipment, including air compressors, coolers, turbines, and material storage tanks.
  • Materials Management: Determine materials, parts, and equipment needed for repair, installation, and stock.
  • Preventive Maintenance: Coordinate and participate in scheduled and unscheduled preventive maintenance on all production and supporting equipment.
  • System Installation and Repair: Install, inspect, repair, and maintain mechanical, electrical, and other related systems in all production and supporting departments.
  • Facilities Maintenance: Inspect, operate, and maintain heating, cooling, ventilation systems, and water treatment devices for the entire plant.
  • Coordination and Documentation: Coordinate with supervisors and complete all necessary documentation as described under company guidelines.
  • Work Safety and Efficiency: Perform all work in a safe and efficient manner, as assigned per shift.
  • System Troubleshooting and Repair: Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and other related systems of all production and supporting department equipment in a safe and secure manner.
  • Communication and Teamwork: Meet and deal tactfully and courteously with fellow employees, vendors, and contractors.
  • Technical Skills: Read and understand complex written and oral instructions, read and troubleshoot electrical schematics, program temperature controllers, Honeywell controllers, AC inverters, and DC controllers.
  • Occupational Hazards and Safety Precautions: Thorough understanding and knowledge of occupation hazards and corresponding safety precautions necessary for the safe performance of assigned duties.
Requirements
  • Experience and Education: 2-5 years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Welding and Fabrication: Must be able to fabricate and sanitary weld.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Must have strong problem-solving skills.
  • Safety Knowledge: Solid knowledge of safety regulations and procedures.
  • Flexibility and Adaptability: Must be flexible in daily schedule and willing to work overtime also during emergency situations.
  • Communication Skills: Verbal and written English communication skills.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Will interact with multiple departments within the organization.
Salary and Benefits

The salary for this position is $33.32 per hour.
