Job Summary:
The Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) will work under the general direction of the Administrator, providing support and training to individuals with developmental disabilities and co-occurring mental illness. The RBT will assist with daily activities, monitor behavior, collect data, and implement skills training plans.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure the supervision, safety, and well-being of individuals at all times.
- Provide continuous active treatment programs, including training and service objectives, and ensure implementation and documentation of individual service plans.
- Participate in the development and evaluation of individual service plans.
- Monitor and support individuals' health and well-being, reporting observations to the Administrator and/or District Manager.
- Ensure daily documentation of individual status, behavior, and treatment responses.
- Participate in maintaining a clean, safe, healthful, and nurturing environment.
- Provide quality training and positive interactions with individuals.
- Adhere to and implement the Company's active treatment philosophy and goals, and organizational policies and procedures.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Current Registered Behavior Technician certification.
- Direct Support Professional I and Direct Support Professional II certificates in accordance with Title 17 Requirements.
- Current certification of Professional Crisis Management (PCM) training or other regional center-approved emergency intervention program.
- ABA background and ability to create task analysis and determine which areas will need more support.
- At least two years of experience in a related field working with adults with developmental disabilities.
Physical Requirements:
- The Registered Behavior Technician works mostly in an indoor residential to office setting with occasional outdoor work.
- Occasional lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Sitting and standing with occasional bending, stooping, crouching, twisting, squatting, reaching, pulling, keying/fingering, reading, walking, driving, and repetitive motions.
