Key Responsibilities

  • Perform preventive maintenance on motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components using test equipment and hand tools.
  • Use performance data to identify areas for continuous improvement and implement changes to improve efficiency and productivity.
  • Proficient in using welding, hydraulics, chains, belting, pneumatics, HVAC, PLC I/O devices, and circuitry to repair and maintain production equipment.
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics and mechanical drawings to understand equipment operation and maintenance requirements.
  • Troubleshoot older machinery when schematics are not available.
  • Use a computer database to detail all relevant maintenance work performed, including work orders, requisition forms, and PM tasks.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure tools, parts, and materials are stored in a neat and orderly manner.
  • Champion a culture of safety, quality, CC&S, and regulatory compliance by following procedures, rules, and regulations.
  • Participate in team meetings to discuss actions, communicate opportunities, and share ongoing tasks.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED and 5+ years of mechanical experience with specific mechanical training and/or certifications.
  • Ability to work independently, follow written and verbal instructions, and work cooperatively with other personnel.
  • Extensive knowledge of team processes, engagement skills, and strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Intermediate digital literacy, including Microsoft Office programs.
  • Mechanical experience in a regulated environment is preferred.
  • Skilled in troubleshooting and problem-solving.
  • Ability to work at heights, close quarters, crawl under and over equipment, and lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Regular and reliable on-site attendance is required.
