Oversee client accounts by ensuring optimal product delivery at competitive pricing while enhancing profit margins and logistical efficiency. This role encompasses all daily operations within the transportation framework: coordinating carrier dispatch to meet client requirements, monitoring shipment progress, generating customer reports, and managing invoicing processes.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Logistics Coordinator will primarily concentrate on LTL Customer Service.

  • Function within a dynamic, customer-centric logistics team, delivering prompt communication and effective solutions for transportation challenges.
  • Collaborate in a team-oriented environment.
  • Maintain professional and timely communication with customers.
  • Utilize the Mercurygate TMS operating system; prior experience is advantageous.
    • Engage with additional web-based systems on a daily basis.
  • Assess transportation costs across various scenarios and modes.
    • Familiarity with LTL transportation processes, procedures, and pricing is preferred.
  • Accurately quote, dispatch, and monitor shipments to ensure completion, addressing any issues that arise.
  • Employ the Microsoft Office Suite.
    • Primarily use Outlook and Excel for effective communication with customers and vendors, as well as for tracking and analysis purposes.
  • Identify potential shipment or pricing issues and develop timely solutions.
  • Review and audit carrier invoices for discrepancies and variances, resolving any associated issues.
  • Process customer billing promptly and accurately.
  • Support ongoing customer service and assist with onboarding new clients, ensuring accuracy in systems and documentation.
  • Execute additional duties and projects as assigned.
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in brokerage or transportation is preferred.
  • A Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution, focusing on supply chain management, is preferred.
  • Ability to learn quickly, manage multiple tasks, and maintain organization and attention to detail.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills; thrives in a fast-paced setting.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing and prioritizing work assignments to meet deadlines.
  • Confidence and independent decision-making skills are essential for problem-solving and managing competing priorities.
  • Deliver accurate and responsive customer service.
  • Ability to quickly evaluate client situations and escalate to management when necessary.
  • Proficient computer skills; familiarity with Windows OS, MS Excel, MS Word, Outlook, and internet browsers is required.
  • Able to swiftly learn new programs and systems.
