About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Universal Services Assistant to join our team at Bronson Healthcare. As a key member of our OR Support team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our surgical services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional support to our OR staff, ensuring that all necessary supplies and equipment are available and in good working order.
  • Maintain a clean and organized environment, adhering to strict infection control protocols.
  • Assist with the preparation and maintenance of OR equipment, including crash carts and linen supplies.
  • Restock and replenish supplies as needed, ensuring that all areas are well-stocked and ready for use.
  • Collaborate with our EVS team to ensure that all areas are clean and tidy, including OR bathrooms and lounges.
  • Perform daily cleaning and disinfection tasks, including dusting and mopping of substerile floors.
  • Assist with the distribution of mail and packages, ensuring that all team members receive their correspondence in a timely manner.
  • Participate in downtime activities, such as put-aways in the RSS department.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 1-3 months of related experience and/or training preferred.
  • Ability to successfully complete the organization's competency requirements for math, English, writing, spelling, and reading comprehension.
  • BLS certification preferred.
Working Conditions

This role requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with frequent and significant uncontrollable deadlines. You will be required to stand or walk for extended periods, lift light-weight objects, and assist with heavier tasks. You must be able to comfortably accept delegation and negotiate task priorities.

This is a full-time position, working 40 hours per week. The cost center for this role is 5700 Surgery (BMH).
