Job Title: Staff Mission Architect

Northrop Grumman is seeking an experienced Mission Architect to join our team in Dulles, VA. As a key member of our space security team, you will be responsible for capturing core concepts and instructional needs from technical data and communicating technical concepts to non-subject matter experts.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and present briefing slides to senior leaders and executive level personnel
  • Lead technical meetings for senior leaders across the space community
  • Support capture activities, including RFI/RFP preparation, customer presentations and demonstrations, and competitor analysis
  • Ensure the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions
  • Perform system-of-system trades, modeling, simulation and analysis to assess space mission architecture alternatives
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or other STEM related degree with 12 years of experience in a related engineering field
  • Must have U.S. Citizenship with active or current TS/SCI Clearance at time of application
  • Understanding of Systems Engineering principles and practices
  • Experience with developing and presenting briefing slides to senior leaders and executive level personnel
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Direct, practical experience with RPO missions and the underpinning algorithms with knowledge of operations and planning
  • Experience in mission design, satellite ground software, distributed modeling & simulation
  • Understanding of system of system architecture designs the interplay between various national security customers and products
