Job Title: Adult Crossing Guard

At Lodi Unified, we are seeking a dedicated and safety-conscious individual to join our team as an Adult Crossing Guard. This role is responsible for ensuring the safe passage of students across busy streets, working closely with local law enforcement to maintain a safe environment, and providing exceptional customer service to our community.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Monitor student behavior at traffic intersections and escort children across the street when coming and going from school.
  • Assure student safety as they cross, working in conjunction with local police departments to maintain a safe environment.
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff to ensure a smooth and safe crossing experience.
  • Report any incidents or concerns to school administrators and local authorities as necessary.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Valid First Aid Certificate issued by an authorized agency.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Working Conditions:

This position requires working outdoors in various weather conditions, including heat, cold, and rain. The ability to stand and walk for extended periods is also required.
