About the Position

We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Assistant Professor of Pharmacology and Physiology to join our dynamic and collaborative department at Saint Louis University School of Medicine.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and lead an innovative, extramurally funded research program in metabolism research
  • Participate in the educational mission of the Department, including teaching and mentoring students
  • Engage in service activities in the department and University, including committee work and community outreach
Qualifications and Requirements
  • PhD or MD/PhD degree in Pharmacology, Physiology, or a related field
  • Minimum of two years of postdoctoral studies and a strong publication record
  • Experience in metabolism research, including cellular mechanisms of metabolic tissue dysfunction and disruption of lipid and glucose homeostasis
  • Ability to develop and lead an independent research program and secure extramural funding
