Geriatric Therapist

Family and Children's Services is seeking a licensed therapist to join our team in supporting the mental health and wellbeing of our aging population.

We are looking for a candidate who is passionate about working with older adults and has experience in providing therapy services to individuals, families, and groups.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to think critically and problem-solve in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Provide individual, family, and group therapy sessions to clients aged 55+ years
• Collect and maintain accurate psychological information about clients through interviews, observations, and tests
• Prepare and maintain treatment records and reports using Electronic Medical Record System
• Collaborate with the Director of Clinical Services to develop and implement treatment plans
• Attend necessary supervision and Agency meetings based on licensure, credentialing, and Agency requirements

Requirements:

• Current full licensure within the state of Michigan
• Master's degree in Social Work (MSW) or related field
• Experience working with older adults and their families
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Pay: $50,000 - $59,085 per year
